I like Bing Maps

This will blow your mind away. It's a mixture of street mapping, flickr photographs and geo tagging. All three are together in Bing Maps, created by Blaise Aguera y Arcas, and it exists in Seattle, San Fransisco and Vancouver.
I will try my best to explain it:
With street view maps, we get right down to street level and can see the lampposts, the sky, the cars and everything else. Bing Maps incorporates geo tagged photographs from Flickr to enhance the landscape. The screen grabs above show this. Whether it's day or night, inside a bus, on the street, the image will be overlayed to fit in with the view. Bing Maps even has an astrological element to it, turning the day into night to see the stars that are above the street you are looking at. There's also a historical element to this photography in the landscape, historical illustrations or photographs are also overlayed in the landscape.

The presention of this amazing piece of technology is found here towards the bottom of the presentaion, before all the comments, inlcuding my own. Blaise Aguera y Arcas is the Bing Map genius who goes on to talk about blog geo tagging on maps too.

A more basic presentation is on YouTube here.

I can't wait to see it in more places all over the world.
