I am an art director in London and I come across some great stuff every day; new technology, virals, websites, photography, games, articles... (you can see it's a never ending list, so I'll stop.) All the things I liked went into a folder on my desktop called "What I like." I have finally decided to make a blog of it, so here it is:

I like one night stands
Well, I've heard they are good anyway. And some people have made a film about it. It's brilliant and I found it on like.cool.com

I like Raw pieces of art

The Royal Academy of Arts hosted a Summer Exhibition and the theme was raw.
"Now in its 242nd year, the exhibition continues the tradition of showcasing work by both emerging and established artists in all media including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, architecture and film." Quoted form the site.
There was over 1,000 pieces of work, most of them were up for grabs. One of the best pieces for me, was a huge sculpture of King King made from coat hangers.

Here is the price tag for it in the List of Works booklet you get upon entry.

(That's £265,000.)
Tracey Emin was also one of the exhibitors, but to be frank, the pieces were crap. Naturally, every copy of the prints were already sold out.
One of my other favourites was a huge oil and acrylic painting by Rosson Crow, called 'Poverty Party At The White House.'

It really stood out from the other paintings and although it has a theme of death and poverty it really was stunning to look at and beautiful.
Another artist called Michael Craig-Martin had two graphical pieces showing, one below called 'Untitled (Paradise)' which again, stood out from the surrounding pieces on the white walls.

I like beautiful ladies in their underwear
Hopefully the title got your attention and I am sure this site will.
The Perrier Mansion had been decorated by Ditta Von Tesse ( is that her real name?!)
Apart from the fact that I was a man in this role of being taken around the mansion by her, it was still fun. An you get to take photographs of her amongst other things.
It's a brave thing for Perrier to do and I applaud them, it is sexy and now I think I feel thirsty.

I like post (or mail if you are in the US)

This landed on my desk earlier, a postcard, how lovely I thought. I was a bit confused by the second class British stamp and then the reference to a beach in the message. I forgot that Britain has beaches.
The handwriting looks familiar, exactly like my friend Sarah's slanty handwriting in biro. But it was signed by Handsome Frank, 'Frank' looked a bit like France so I was even more confused.
I read it again.
It mentioned that I was 'stuck in the office,' this pissed me of to be honest. Why do you expect me to be stuck and glued to my desk every day? Handsome Frank, who I found out to be an illustraion agency, could have worded that better.
The postcard mentions Handsome Frank, the illustration agency when signing off, but my friend Sarah, is the agency art buyer and always sends images, websites, books and so on to me. I thought she wanted to send me another thing while she is away on holiday, conveniently in France.
I've been tricked.
But they do have lovely illustrations.

I like cupcakes
Especially when I make them. I went on a day course with Fair Cake and loved every minute of it.
I made all the cake decorations by hand and piped the butter icing on top. The taste as good as they look.
The washing up even looked tasty at the end of the day.
Recommend it to anyone.
